Steam Jenny

     It was a dark and stormy night in 2023. Crippled by the lack of music performance in his life since the demise of previous bands PlayDead and the Rhythm Junkies, Steam reached out to Jenny. It was a long phone conversation, with Steam sometimes reduced to tears from begging for Jenny’s collaboration. Jenny, a talented vocalist having achieved notoriety from performing with the River Singers and various regional ensembles, finally agreed. Steam, wanting to be courteous, offered to give Jenny top billing, suggesting as a name ‘Jenny’s and Steam’s Acoustic Journey,’ but this was deemed to be unwieldy. It was then Steam remembered operating an industrial cleaning machine at a former job and ‘Steam Jenny’ was born.

  Steam Jenny is Suzanne Waldren and Curt Fields. Together they create musical magic and mayhem, playing acoustic versions of songs that cover many musical styles as well as their own creations. Rich with warm vocal harmonies and simple guitar accompaniment, this duo create a pleasant, enjoyable evening (or afternoon!). Available wherever music is appreciated.
